Globe on Monday, June 21, said that its 5G network now covers at least 88% of NCR.

Bonifacio Global City CBD and Ortigas CBD have the highest area covered at 97%, followed by Makati CBD at 96%, and Pateros at 92%. For the areas not specifically mentioned, Globe says there is at least 82% coverage in the 13 cities in Metro Manila.

In Cebu City, 5G is accessible in 81% of the area, 68% in Boracay Island, 67% in Bacolod City, and 53% in Iloilo City.

In Mindanao, 5G is available in 53% of Davao City, and 72% in Cagayan de Oro City. Six 5G sites are currently in construction in General Santos, as part of the company’s ongoing 5G rollout.

Globe also said that it has the highest overally 5G availability in the country in Q1 2021, citing a report by analytics firms Ookla. Both Smart and Dito Telecommunity also offer 5G services.

Global 5G roaming services are also rolling out, with Smart recently reporting its Canada service going live. – Rappler.com
