MANILA, Philippines – On January 7, two armed individuals, clad in masks and bulletproof vests, stormed the offices of the French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, gunning down 12 people. Let's take a closer look at the incident and discuss the various issues surrounding it in a forum dubbed "Media Revolution 2015: Are We Charlie?".
The forum will be held on February 11, 4 pm to 7 pm at the College of Mass Communication Auditorium, Plaridel Hall, Ylanan Road, UP Diliman. It aims to shed light on a number of issues the incident has raised including questions on press freedom, censorship, and the conflict between ethics and free speech.
