BPI customers furious over new online transaction charges

MANILA, Philippines – Ayala-led Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) sent an email to its customers on Friday, May 31, announcing new fees for select online and mobile banking services starting July 1.

Some customers aired their concerns over social media, as BPI said it would implement the following charges starting July 1:

BPI urged its customers to enroll their accounts online for faster and safer transactions. It is also free of charge.
