Derek Ramsay and Andrea Torres’ relationship: A timeline

Derek Ramsay confirmed on Thursday, November 19 that he and actress Andrea Torres have broken up. They were together for a year.

“Maybe two people are just not meant to be. Please respect us na lang (Please just respect us). We shared our love to all of you. Sana naman we can keep this to ourselves (I hope we can keep this to ourselves),” he told a follower on Instagram.

The end of “Andrek” came as a surprise to many of their fans, since they were one of the couples featured in the 2020 Christmas station ID of GMA.

April 2019: Derek signs with GMA

Derek signed an exclusive contract with GMA. One of the first projects was the soap Better Woman, where he was paired with Andrea.

On April 8, GMA reported that Derek and Andrea met for the story conference of the Better Woman. A day later, Derek and Andrea shot their segment for the GMA Summer ID station called “Basta’t Ka-Summer Kita.”

On April 25, Derek shared a photo with Andrea on the set of their show. Andrea in return posted a photo of herself goofing with Derek on set.

June 2019: Derek confirms breakup with Joanne Villablanca

On June 6 2020, Derek confirmed that he and Joanne Villablanca had broken up. The two were together for 6 years.

July and August 2019: Getting close

In July, reports surfaced that Andrea went to China, where Derek took part in a sports tournament. They also spent time together after the tournament.

In August, Andrea also supported Derek in a basketball match. In an interview on 24 Oras, Derek hinted that he and Andrea were more than friends.

September 2019: Derek and Andrea are together

Derek and Andrea confirmed that they were a couple. During an interview with Pep, he said that they connected instantly.

It was reported that the two broke up after fans noted that they had deleted photos of each other from their social media accounts. The reports came as a surprise, since they were among the celebrity couples featured in the new GMA Christmas station ID.

After Derek confirmed their breakup, Andrea on Friday, November 20 confirmed to Pep that it was true that they had parted ways.

“Yes. Derek and I are no longer together,” she said.

“I’d rather keep the details private as I want to give the break up the same amount of respect that I had for the relationship. I think you all know how much it meant to me. I hope you understand.”
