MANILA, Philippines - Harrison Ford is said to be interested in reprising his iconic role as outlaw space smuggler Han Solo in the new Star Wars trilogy, The Guardian reported.
Ford was reportedly "open" and "upbeat" about the idea, according to a source quoted by Entertainment Weekly.
But his alleged interest in the new Star Wars Version, which will arrive in cinemas in 2015 following Disney's $4.05 billion purchase of George Lucas' LucasFilm production, runs counter to his sentiments about the trilogy for the past three decades as suggested by his refusal to appear at conventions and reunions.
Although Ford may be enthusiastic about the role, the source said he is still waiting to see who will write and direct the new films, and how Han Solo's role will be treated, before entering negotiations. - Rappler.com
