Rappler Talk: The stars of ‘Four Sisters Before the Wedding’
We talk to Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano about the movie and... Zumba

When Four Sisters and a Wedding came out, it was bound to be a hit. After all, it starred 4 of Philippine entertainment’s biggest TV and movie stars and was directed by no less than Cathy Garcia Molina.

What ABS-CBN likely didn’t expect was the kind of impact the movie would have on Philippine pop culture. Since coming out in 2013, the film has gifted the internet with memes, iconic dialogue, and a fight scene that would resonate years later.

It was no surprise that a prequel to the beloved movie would be made. Four Sisters Before the Wedding features younger versions of the Salazar sisters (and brother) as they navigate the mess that’s teenage life, and promises new insights on Teddie, Bobbie, Alex, and Gabbie.

Ahead of the movie’s premiere, Rappler entertainment editor Bea Cupin spoke to the movie’s 4 young stars, Charlie Dizon, Alexa Ilacad, Gillian Vicencio, and Belle Mariano, about shooting a movie during a pandemic, the pressure that comes with playing iconic characters, and how Zumba brought the cast together.
