LISTEN: Clara Benin and Johnoy Danao cover Taylor Swift’s ‘Exile’

Clara Benin and Johnoy Danao appear to be among those who have fallen into the Folklore rabbit hole, as the two singer-songwriters collaborated on a cover of “Exile.”

Clara shared their version of the song on her YouTube channel on August 1, with a Folklore-inspired black-and-white video shot from their homes.

It’s not the first time Clara and Johnoy have collaborated. The two have performed together in various gigs, and Clara was featured on Johnoy’s songs “Do It All” and “Right Time.”

“Exile” is a song off Folklore, Taylor Swift’s 8th studio album, released on July 24. The original track features indie folk band Bon Iver.

The release of Folklore took fans by surprise, with Taylor announcing the drop just the night before. The album, which sees the pop star taking on a more folksy, indie sound, contains 16 tracks which were written while in lockdown. – Rappler.com
