Nadine Lustre pens message to late brother

MANILA, Philippines – Actress Nadine Lustre has spoken up following the death of her brother Isaiah.

On Friday, October 13, Nadine posted a message for her late brother Isaiah, who died a few days before.

The young actress said on Instagram: "I'm so proud of you. Never knew you had such talent with words. I'm happy to have read all of your entries and discover that you have such a beautiful mind. Excited to read your scripts/stories soon."

Nadine posted a link to her brother's blog on Medium.

"I want to thank you for teaching everyone a very important lesson. Thank you for opening my eyes and making me braver. I know now that whatever challenge I will have to face, I will be able to pull through because of you," she continued.

"I'm gonna miss your face and miss hearing your corny jokes. I wish you stayed with us longer. I am keeping my promise and we will still travel the world together. No more crying."

To end her note, Nadine greeted Isaiah a happy birthday.

Isaiah was found dead inside his family's home on October 8, according to a report from the Quezon City police.

After reports of her brother's death made the rounds online, Nadine, on her Instagram stories, hit back at bashers who said that she was prioritizing matters other than her brother's death.

“To everyone who’s been judging me for the past few days, remember this. You will always see me UP but never DOWN. So 'wag niyong hanapin. (So don't look for it.) Get lost please.”

She added: "And to everyone who’s been sharing me stories of weakness, I'm reading. Wait for me… I GOT YOU.”

She also requested for people to respect her and to not post photos of her at her brother's funeral.
