Jolina Magdangal returns in new TV drama, ‘Flordeliza’

MANILA, Philippines –  Actress-singer Jolina Magdangal is a “kapamilya” again. 

According to a report on ABS-CBN, the actress-singer reported for her first shooting day for the drama Flordeliza, Monday, October 27. The drama will reunite her with on-screen partner Marvin Agustin.

The actress said she is excited to work again with ABS-CBN.

“I’m so happy. Kakaibang (It’s a different) feeling,” she said. “Hanggang ngayon, parang di pa rin ako makapaniwala.” (Up to now, I still can’t believe it.)

Magdangal said her role in the drama is something she has never tried. 

“Lahat nung mga ‘di ko nagagawa dati, parang ipagagawa sa akin ni Direk dito, eh!” she said. “First time ko talaga siya gagawin. Hinanda ko talaga sarili ko. Nakailang beses ako ng basa ng script!”

(All the things that I have not yet done, I think Direk will make me do. It’s really my first time to take on such a role. I really prepared for it. I read the script so many times.)

Flordeliza will be directed by Wenn Deramas who worked with Marvin and Jolina in the 2002 movie Kung Ikaw Ay Isang Panag-inip.

When asked what the fans of the Marvin-Jolina can look forward to in the drama, the director said: “Dahil nga sa Marvin-Jolina ‘to, hindi puwedeng basta kakawalain na lang natin ang nakasanayan at kung saan sila gustong panoorin.”

(Because its a Marvin-Jolina, we cannot just let go of what we had gotten used to and what we want to watch.)

“Magkaka-light moments, siyempre. Marvin-Jolina ‘yan, eh. Kahit magkatalikod ‘yan, alam na nila kung ano ang gagawin nila.”
