MANILA, Philippines  ( 2nd UPDATED)– Bb. Pilipinas Tourism 2015 Ann Lorraine Colis,  the Philippines' bet to the Miss Globe 2015 won the title on Thursday, October 8 (Friday, October 9 Manila time) at the Rose Theater Brampton in Toronto, Canada.

The news was confirmed by Bb. Pilipinas and The Miss Globe pageant on their Facebook pages.

Ann, 22 who hails from Mexico, Pampanga graduated at the University of Sto. Tomas with a BS Management degree. She was congratulated by Bb. Pilipinas on her win.

"We would like to congratulate Ms. Ann Lorraine Colis for clutching the Miss Globe 2015 title during the finals held at Rose Theatre Brampton in Toronto, Canada. After her win, Ann gave a short message via Jonas Gaffud's Instagram.

In a press release, Ann thanked everyone for the support through her journey in the pageant. 

“From the bottom of my heart, I would like to thank everyone, my family, friends, and all Filipinos especially my fellow Kapampangans for rooting for me. It was your overwhelming love and support that gave me the strength and motivation to win. This is our victory! Maraming Salamat po. (Thank you.) #labANNpilipinas,” she said.

Ann was crowned by last year's winner Jacqueline Wojciechowski of Canada.  The 1st runner-up went to Miss Albania, 2nd runner-up was Miss Macedonia, 3rd runner-up was China and 4th runner-up was Miss France.– Rappler.com
