ABS-CBN unveiled on Tuesday, October 5, the full list of actors who will be starring in Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV series, the highly-anticipated adaptation of the Filipino comic book.

Jane de Leon was chosen to play the titular role in 2019 after a series of auditions. She was chosen after actress Liza Soberano backed out due to health reasons. Liza, in turn, had been cast to replace Angel Locsin, who also bowed out of the role due to health reasons.

Jane will be paired with actor Joshua Garcia, who is set to play a police officer named Bryan Samonte Robles. Further details about his character have yet to be revealed.

Filming for the series is set to begin in November. A target release date has yet to be announced.  – Rappler.com
