LOOK: Why we can't wait for 'Game of Thrones' Season 8, Episode 3

MANILA, Philippines – The first two episodes of the final season of Game of Thrones, for the most part, delivered on long-awaited reunions and set-ups for what will likely be among the highlights of the 8th season.

Episode 3, clocking in at 82 minutes, is going to be the longest this season – and for good reason. As fans had correctly speculated, the 3rd episode will feature the long-awaited battle between the forces that've banded together in Winterfell and the Night King's forces.

"The Night King is coming," says Jon Snow.

"The dead are already here," adds Daenerys.

Finally, the 30-second-long teaser ends with Brienne of Tarth leading the charge.

Episode 2 built on the reunions of the first episode, with the show's many leads gearing up for the battle – one that many of them think could be their last. The real identity of Jon Snow is expounded on in episode 2 but the consequences were cut short because the battle was about to begin.

Game of Thrones is based on George R.R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire and is among the most hyped, awaited, and awarded shows on television today. Episode 3 airs Monday, April 29, in the Philippines. – Rappler.com
