Bong Revilla rushed to hospital due to COVID-19

Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr was rushed to the hospital for COVID-19 treatment on Tuesday, August 18.

Bacoor Mayor Lani Mercado Revilla announced this in a Facebook post on Tuesday afternoon, as she prayed for the recovery of her husband.

“Father God pls help my husband. He is being rushed to the hospital. His latest X-ray shows that he has developed pneumonia and isolation in a regular facility is no longer ideal. Hospital care badly needed,” Mayor Revilla said.

“Father we lift him up to you,” she added.

Senator Revilla announced he tested positive for COVID-19 on August 9. He said then that he and his family went into isolation and got themselves tested after a household member and one of his staff were found to have COVID-19. The rest of his family tested negative.

Revilla is the 4th senator to contract the coronavirus, after Juan Miguel Zubiri, Koko Pimentel, and Sonny Angara. – Rappler.com
