Japanese man kidnapped in Parañaque

MANILA, Philippines – A Japanese man was kidnapped in Parañaque City on Saturday evening, police said.

Two unidentified suspects abducted Hayato Sumi from his establishment in Brgy Don Bosco, Parañaque, at around 7:40 pm Saturday, the Philippine National Police said in its initial report.

Police said the suspects went inside the establishment and pointed a gun at him. He was then gagged and blindfolded before he was dragged into his white Toyota Fortuner.

The suspects brought the victim in the direction of Bicutan, Taguig, and pursuit operations are underway.

The incident is now under investigation by the Parañaque police and the PNP's Anti-Kidnapping Group. – Rappler.com
