2 dead, 1 injured in EDSA shooting

MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED) – Two men were killed and a woman was injured in a shooting that took place on the southbound lane of EDSA Reliance on Sunday, February 17, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

According to the Mandaluyong City police, the incident occurred around 3:30 pm in front of the Victor R. Potenciano (VRP) Medical Center.

The victims were onboard a white Toyota HiAce with plate number NOS 361.

The police identified the fatalities as Allan Santos, 51, and Jose Yulo, 62. Both were declared dead at the VRP Medical Center.

The injured was identified as Esmeralda Ignacio, 39.

Police said two suspects riding a motorcycle fired at the victims' vehicle.
