On June 29, 4 Army intelligence soldiers on the hunt for Abu Sayyaf bombers were waylaid and shot dead by policemen in Jolo, Sulu.
The police claimed it was a shootout, but the military said its 4 men were unarmed. The 9 policemen in the incident have since been accused of murder by the National Bureau of Investigation.
