Presidential Spokesman Harry Roque is glib.
He has been President Rodrigo Duterte’s spokesperson since November 2017, but he stepped down in October 2018, and returned in April 2020.
He is now one of the faces and voices of the country’s fight against COVID-19. Besides the medical response, there is the messaging – more than ever, it is critical for information to be accurate and timely. (WATCH: How does Duterte compare with other world leaders’ crisis messaging?)
But there were times, not once or twice, that the Presidential Spokesman contradicted statements of other key officials – President Duterte included – and even his own.
