[PODCAST] Duterte’s 2020 SONA in 5 minutes

Rappler’s Malacañang reporter Pia Ranada gives you a capsule recap of President Rodrigo Duterte’s 5th State of the Nation Address (SONA) in this 4th episode of the Seat of Power podcast.

Duterte’s speech runs for about an hour and 40 minutes. Like most of his previous SONAs, it contains several ad lib remarks, breaking a structured written speech prepared by his communications team and Cabinet.

But what makes this SONA different is he delivered it in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic and at a time when Filipinos expected to hear a new plan or strategy to curb COVID-19 infections and get the country out of dire economic straits.
