Zamboanga City

Zamboanga City is a 1st-class highly-urbanized city in the Philippines. It is part of Zamboanga del Sur in Zamboanga Peninsula, located in Mindanao.

As a highly-urbanized city, it is administratively independent from Zamboanga del Sur.

Zamboanga City has a population of 977,234 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 1,414.70 square kilometers. It consists of 98 barangays.

In the 2022 elections, the city had 445,240 registered voters.
