Tacloban City

Tacloban City is a 1st-class highly-urbanized city in the Philippines. It is the provincial capital of Leyte and regional center of Eastern Visayas, located in the Visayas.

As a highly-urbanized city, it is administratively independent from Leyte.

Tacloban City has a population of 251,881 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 201.72 square kilometers. It consists of 138 barangays.

In the 2022 elections, the city had 143,562 registered voters.
