Lapu-Lapu City

Lapu-Lapu City, formerly known as Opon, is a 1st-class highly-urbanized city in the Philippines. It is part of Cebu in Central Visayas, located in the Visayas.

As a highly-urbanized city, it is administratively independent from Cebu.

Lapu-Lapu City has a population of 497,604 as of the 2020 Census, and a land area of 58.10 square kilometers. It consists of 30 barangays.

In the 2022 elections, the city had 245,395 registered voters.
