PBA media bureau chief Willie Marcial told GMA News Online that the referee in question, who failed to call a three-second violation during the dying minutes of the game, has been suspended for the rest of the season.

In a text message to Rappler, PBA commissioner Chito Salud said Allado's Twitter outburst was "way out of the line."

He added that Allado was "indicting not just game officials, but the entire organization and membership of the league, his co-players and team officials alike."

"This is a serious accusation, and I don't intend to take it lightly," he said.

A report on Interaksyon meanwhile quoted Marcial as hinting at a heavier-than-usual fine for the Barako center, saying "kulang ang fine at suspension para kay Don Allado sa mga accusations na binitawan niya." (A fine and suspension are not enough considering the accusations he made) -Rappler.com
