ONE Championship to stage two shows in August

ONE Championship is set to pick up exactly where it left off after its highly successful return with ONE: No Surrender.

The Home Of Martial Arts announced the cards for ONE: No Surrender II and ONE: No Surrender III slated on August 14 and 21, respectively.

Both shows would be held behind closed doors in Bangkok, Thailand, and would feature the world's best strikers.

Bannering the main event for ONE: No Surrender II is a clash between Saemapetch Fairtex and Rodlek PK. Saenchaimuaythaigym in the semifinals of the recently announced ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament, which would conclude with the finalist battling ONE bantamweight muay thai world champion Nong-O Gaiyanghadao.

"It's such a huge honor and moment for me to return to ONE Championship after having no events in the past few months," Saemapetch said.

"There hasn't been an opportunity to compete for a while, so I am really grateful. I'm also very happy that we will fight in Bangkok. I trained very hard for this fight and I want to give it my all inside the ring."

For Rodlek, just being able to compete after such a long time off is a blessing for him.

"It is a privilege to be able to compete right here at home in Bangkok. Saemapetch is a young, hungry fighter and we're going to put together an exciting main event," Rodlek said.

"I know he's a tough fighter. I've seen the way he fights and he's very good, but I'm ready to put forth the best performance of my career. It's going to be a lot of fun."

Bolstering the card is a kickboxing contest between Victor "Leo" Pinto and Mehdi "Diamond Heart" Zatout in the co-main event, while in mixed martial arts, Pongsiri "The Smiling Assassin" Mitsatit takes on Akihiro "Superjap" Fujisawa.

On the other hand, ONE: No Surrender III will see the other ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai Tournament semifinal bout between "The Million Dollar Baby" Sangmanee Klong SuanPluResort and "Left Meteorite" Kulabdam Sor. Jor. Piek Uthai in the main event.

Additionally, Thai veteran Shannon "OneShin" Wiratchai welcomes veteran kickboxer Fabio Pinca to mixed martial arts in one of the featured bouts of the same card. – Rappler.com
