Jayson Castro to miss Game 7 due to hamstring injury

MANILA, Philippines - TNT KaTropa will be without the services of star point guard Jayson Castro for their Game 7 showdown against the San Miguel Beermen in the PBA Philippine Cup semifinals tonight, Monday, February 20.

Castro sustained a hamstring injury in Game 6, according to the PBA's official twitter account. TNT coach Nash Racela confirmed the news to Rappler, saying Castro willl need one week of rest to recover from the strain.

TNT is hoping to bounce back from a 16-point defeat to the Beermen in Game 6 on Saturday in which Castro scored 19 points and dished 5 assists but left the game with 7 minutes to play after sustaining the injury.

The winner of tonight's game between San Miguel and TNT will face the winner of tomorrow's Game 7 between Barangay Ginebra and Star in the PBA Finals, which start Friday, February 24. – Rappler.com
