‘PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition’ brings 2-on-2 hoops action to Steam
'PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition' features arcade-styled full court basketball action for fans of the Philippine Basketball Association

Ranida Games, the developers behind the fighting game Bayani, announced it would be releasing a PC version of their mobile basketball game PBA Basketball Slam 2020.

PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition, as the name states, features arcade-styled basketball play using the roster of the Philippine Basketball Association.

It’s a 2-on-2 full court basketball game with exaggerated gameplay elements much like NBA Jam and Street Dunk before it. The game will have multiplayer features, as well as keyboard and controller support, allowing up to 4 people to play together, either locally or via Steam Remote Play Together feature.

According to Ben Banta, Ranida Games’ CEO, the early access release for PBA Basketball Slam: Arcade Edition “will allow more players to enjoy the game and will also allow us to enhance the game further.”

“With the success of the mobile game having more than 10 million downloads worldwide, we’ve been able to polish the user interface and experience for the PC version, and more features will be added as we go through development,” Banta said.

The game will be a Steam early access title slated to come out this August, though no roadmap or expected length of time in early access is listed on the Steam page.
