It’s another year for the biggest pop culture event at the Megatrade Hall in SM Megamall.
Toycon celebrated its fourteenth year with more galleries of toys, toy retailers, and a whole weekend of full-on activities.
At the same time it became a spot a great hang out place for toy collectors, cosplayers, gamers, and geeks in general.
With over 30 toy groups that showcased their different collections ranging from die-cast robots, vintage toys, custom designed dolls and superhero action figures.
Attendees can buy from an array of over a hundred toy exhibitors and retailers that sell everything from your favorite anime characters to the Earth’s mightiest heroes!
Major brands continue to show their support for ToyCon and give fans more previews of their upcoming projects and films.
Plus, a ton of cosplayers roamed around the event to showcase their best costumes while still having a great time with their friends.
Toycon goes beyond just toys by featuring an indie and retail comic booths for you to check out, displaying the latest and classic comic books from both local and international.
Gaming also earns it own spot in ToyCon, inviting the crowd to try out the classic and the latest game releases.
There are even booths that sell collectibles like shirts, mugs, and other accessories for the diehard fans of popular TV series and movies.
There was never a dull moment on the event stage: from panel talks to band performances, cosplay competitions to celebrity appearances. Just sitting there and watching everything was a treat, in itself.
With ToyCon welcoming more than 30,000 attendees this year, it has proven that more and more people are flaunting their inner geek by getting into collecting toys, whether you are a kid or kid-at-heart.
